Bio

Formed in early 2001, Suburban Riot have since streamlined their act to a trio after previous vocalist Zane left the band to pursue a tertiary education. The Whakatane band initially struggled to find much live exposure, due to a lack of venues in their local scene, but since then have began to accumulate numerous gigs with acts such as Holdfast and This Night Creeps due to their attitude of being willing to play anywhere, anytime.

In 2002, Surburban Riot made the regional finals of the Rockquest, playing what they describe as a mix of hard fast punk rock with ska influences, reggae, rock and old school.
