How To Escape Reality is a 4-piece alternative rock/emo band from New Zealand (but also China - kind of). The band formed in 2020, as songwriter Samuel Fistonich enlisted the help of his brothers and his wife to create a sound reminiscent of 2000's rock music.

Their songs might make you feel a little sad and are best listened to with the volume up way too loud. The band draws influence from their time growing up in China and their individual journeys of discovering who they are and how they fit in this world.

How To Escape Reality released their debut EP in mid-2020 and are currently working on their first full-length album.
