Bio

Ben Lloyd is a Mt Maunganui based singer-songwriter who writes acoustic guitar-based rock songs. Ben is a self-taught singer-songwriter who has been writing his own songs for over 30 years. Music is more than just a hobby and he has played in bands and done many solo gigs for corporate events, weddings and the like.

Ben has released two full-length albums.
Leap of Faith is the latest release (2024) with master producer Tim Julian at The Colour Field Studios in Welcome Bay.
Lighthouse (2013) was recorded with local guitarist Santiago Rebagliati from the band Kokomo.

Musical influences are many – Ben loves The Beatles, Ray Davies, Noel Gallagher as well as local legends Neil Finn and Jon Toogood.

Although life, career, sport, and family have always been a priority for Ben, music has always been important. “I love writing songs and will keep doing so as long as I can!
