Sicada is a band formed by ex high school band members from Recoil with a new singer: Simon Jordan. They started off early 2004 and are slowly growing in the Dunedin music scene.

Their biggest achievement so far is that they got second in the Otago/Southland regional finals of the World Battle Of The Bands.

The band is influenced by many artists. "We don't really know what we sound like, maybe a bit 'Nu' Metal but hopefully not. We just try to make good heavy rock music."
