Sense_ emerged from Palmerston North around mid 2001, and were formerly known as Tivity. Both Hayden & Jeramiah have a massive love for technical equipment, and both have extensive musical backgrounds, having previously played in the band Tivity and solo projects
Style wise Sense_ is all about merging elements together... Live electronica, with a range of genere's from drum and bass, trip hop and ambient/hip hop, and even a dash of old skool rock (synth styles).
They have completed tours around New Zealand with Rhombus, Salmonella Dub and Fat Freddy's Drop.
Hayden also works as a Technical Sound Engineer for the Creative Sounds Society at The Stomach and has performed under Simpliciter.
Sense_ has now officially disbanded, as Jeramiah is now working on his new project, Module and Hayden now performs with Hellborne.
Band Members:
Hayden Sinclair (programming, mixing, beats, samples)
Jeramiah Ross (computer, vocals, guitar, synths, samples)

Sense_ Release Debut Album Posted: Tue Oct 29, 2002 4:04 pm Thankx to un-chart-ed for this story: Palmerston North live electronica duo Sense_ celebrate the release of their new album 'Overdub Version 1.0' this weekend by challenging visiting Wellington dub crew Rhombus to a good old fashioned 'versus' gig on home soil. Formerly known as Tivity, Sense_ mash up elements of drum-n-bass, trip-hop, ambient and even a dash of synth style rock on their new nine track album which was recorded and mixed at t42 Studios and The Stomach in Palmerston North. Their home town album release party this weekend doubles as something of a dubwise soundclash with Wellington group Rhombus, who are about to drop their own debut album 'Bassplayer' any day now on M.O.K.O Music through FMR. Catch Rhombus versus Sense_ @ Harvesters, Palmerston North this Sunday 27 October 2002 with support from local DJ Ray Ray. For more information about Sense_ or to wile away your idle time playing old school video games, head for the bands website. Shade muzic.net.nz |
