The Deadline are a five-piece metalcore band from Wellington City. Featuring ex-members of Pedal Faster and Jetplain, The Deadline's music is reminiscent of early 90's random yet brutal hardcore.

The Deadline have fast become THE hardcore band in Wellington, playing support to international touring acts, as well as roaming around the North Island themselves.

The Deadline mix a variety of styles and influences to produce a unique sound that's hard to define. Part old school metal, part technical and chaotic dischordance and part punky hardcore, together these give a sound of their own.

With vocalist Tali Williams' cryptically political lyrics, The Deadline have a layered sound that varies greatly from song to song. The band played their last show together on 8 July 2005 after releasing their debut album.
