Alternate Dischord is an Auckland based 3 piece punk rock band that was formed in 1999. Since then, the three-piece have worked to build a support base in their Auckland area through regular live shows and a string of demo CDs over the years.
2003 has seen the band retreat from the live scene to work on and, in November, release their debut album, the 12-track 'AD 2003', on their own Malarky Records label. The band are proud of the new release, which represents a huge step up in quality over their previous demo recordings.
Alternate Dischord have shown up on TV3's Living Room, as well as on the soundtrack to C4's X-Air series, and in the soundtrack for a film in the NZ International Film Festival. The band have also filmed their first video clip for the song 'Road Rage' with director Michael Reihana of Mozaic Pictures.
