Wendyhouse formed in 1992 as a one-off art installation for Soundwatch '92, Artspace, Auckland.
The band is still going! Existing around core members Bryce 'Mr Pudding' Galloway and EE Monk, Wendyhouse have often added personnel to flesh out recordings and live appearances.
Wendyhouse make sporadic appearances live or on recent CD/Comics. The most recent project by the duo is Puddlekopf a CD/zine (2024). Puddlekopf (and other releases) is available for NZ$10 + postage by emailing [email protected] or posting PO Box 27527, Wellington 6141, NZ.
Core members Pudding and EE monk are split between NZ and Germany, so projects are sporadic.

Wendyhouse In Stereo Hell Posted: Tue May 25, 2004 8:19 am A new Wendyhouse CD entitled 'Pan' is currently being pressed for release next month. The CD is two album-length mono recordings on the one disc; EE monk taking the left channel or speaker for his album, and Mr Pudding taking the right. Listeners are invited to pan back and forth for their favourite mono tracks or leave the dial somewhere in the middle for a bizarre aural collision. Both albums have identical track listings and some of the tracks even work together despite being recorded in isolation by the two artists. |

Wendyhouse Flap Their Lips Posted: Fri Jun 27, 2003 11:08 am National Radio presents a Mark Amery documentary on Wendyhouse this Saturday 28 June @ 3:30pm (repeated Wednesday 2 July @ 7:30pm). Be sure to listen in for this half hour history of a band who over the last eleven years have sat on the fence between high art and rock'n'roll, calling both camps a pile of steaming shit, yeah!!! |
