Bursting out of the mighty Waikato come dirty-funk rocksters Radiator with their long-awaited debut album, 'Love, Hope and Distortion'.
The three boys up the front are the Trenwith brothers who come from a fine legacy of music with parents in the Hamilton County Bluegrass Band, so the boys are saturated in soul. Sam Trenwith sings and plays the guitar in a funky, old-skool style, while brother Tim, is a skinny, white man, with a big, black bass-mans groove! Mike T jams along on his silver electric guitar and chirps out 70's synthesizer melodies. Brendon Rickard is on the drums with a little black book of dance-floor beats and dynamite energy!
Radiator draws talent and experience from The Kumquats, Late 80's Mercedes and the aforementioned Hamilton County Bluegrass Band.
A Radiator live show promises sing-a-longs, guitar solos behind the head, musical genius from the tightest rhythm section since Led Zep, funky drum and bass grooves and a few laughs along the way.
Radiator have performed alongside Eight, Autozamm, 48May, Goodnight Nurse, Late 80s Mercedes, Falter, Mumsdollar and Moped - to name but a few - and have extensive nationwide touring planned for 2008.
