In 2020 Green Grove returns as a solo offering, focused on ambient and soundtrack soundscapes. With Of Isthmus' completion, Green Grove is poised to provide a heady aural experience.
Mog's House was made specifically for an unreleased DJ mix in collaboration with Emma Hall-Phillips (Aw B), who also contributes vocals midway through the song. Fenwick describes the track as 'an aural offering to the space we both spent our second lockdown in and our lil furry friend Mog.
Beginning in 2018 with the release of his chilled debut Night Music, Green Grove evolved into a live band in concurrence with the release of 2019's Machine Music on Sunreturn.
The album provided deep listening experience, and was followed by a string of shows around Aotearoa as well as appearances at festivals like The Others Way, Deep Dive and Field Of Dreams.
Citing influences that range from early Electronic Library to electro-pop, Green Grove’s offerings run the gamut from lounge music and Stereolab synth-stylings, to patient ambience and Eno inspired minimalism.
