Mim Jensen announces debut single 'Germaphobe' + hometown single release show

21 July 2022 - 0 Comments

Ōtautahi artist Mim Jensen has announced the release of her debut single Germaphobe. A visceral indie-rock anthem about a failing relationship, the song reflects on the moment you realise you’re growing apart and heading in opposite directions. “Germaphobe was the result of some uncomfortable emotions and self-reflection. It’s about navigating an incredibly hard time in your life but ultimately learning how to stand in your own power.”

While Germaphobe is the first release for Mim, she has been prolific in the Ōtautahi live scene for years, her shows packed with energy and emotion. Her songwriting about love, loss, soaring highs and sweeping lows are as relatable as they are captivating. Alongside her band and fueled with heartache filled harmonies and destructive lead guitar lines, their shows are a sweeping spectrum of indie rock and passion that are not to be missed out on.

Germaphobe is being released on August 12th via Winegum Records, and accompanied by a single release show at Ōtautahi’s 12 Bar complete with full band! Tickets are available from Cosmic Ticketing.
