DiCE_NZ (aka DJ Dave Ti & co) is often known for his edits & remixes, including work with legends such as Fat Freddy’s Drop & House of Downtown, and of course his DJ sets which range from long and lovely Soul, Funk & Disco connections, to peak-time House-Funk explosions!

On a bit of a roll this year, DiCE_NZ added a remix of Swedish based act Glamour Hammer to his name, another of his infamous Highrollers releases on the Discoholics Anonymous label, an inclusion on the last Slightly Transformed compilation as well as an original EP and a recent remix of local Alt Rock up-and-comers Feshh.

Friday 12th August sees the release of the Waiting 4 The Sun Remix of What A Winter’s Day, a track taken from Danish Cult Folk singer Suzanne Menzel’s 1981 self-funded album Goodbyes & Beginnings.

The album that hailed little attention when originally released, was unfortunately Menzel’s only album as she passed away before having chance to release anything else. Slowly gathering interest as time passed, it eventually went on to become one of the most sought after 80’s LP’s in Denmark.

A 2018 reissue by Frederiksberg records brought the track to the attention of DiCE_NZ, who presents this new, respectfully recontextualised remix; Notching up the tempo a little and adding a subtle but ever present bass, strings and chugging percussion whilst keeping Menzel’s haunting voice front & centre.
