Mikeyy is an up-and-coming Iraqi-New Zealander hip-hop/hyperpop artist. Taught by his father from the age of 5, he has been a multi-instrumentalist as well as an avid producer. Inspired by an array of musical influences ranging from The Beatles to Kanye West, he speaks his truth and promotes positive messages through songwriting and production. The rising artist has played big New Zealand stages such as Soundsplash Raglan and opened for notable New Zealand artists such as CHAII at the young age of only 19.
Mikeyy's honest and fresh musical style has garnered him over 300,000 streams on Spotify with audiences tuning in from all over the world . The core of the artist’s lyricism is positivity and inspiring other people through music. 2021 has seen Mikeyy explore the fast rising genre “hyperpop”, taking inspiration from US based artists such as Brakence and Glaive.
