Taiotims has come a long way from 2020, using anything he could to record his freestyles such as an iPhone 6 or his work laptop and a Playstation headset, to now building his own home Studio and engineering his own vocals using FL Studio.
Since arriving on the scene with his debut single My Soulview in 2021, Taiotims has been recognised for his craft by Auckland Hip Hop icons such as Scribe, Che Fu, Tom Scott, Rizvan, Poetik, Diggy Dupe and Lucky Lance to name a few.
Only months ago, Taiotims was invited to perform at an international organisation showcase 'Breaking Sound' and is now set to be on the opening line-up for the Enter The Ville national tour, run by 685's very own Poetik. Growing up in his childhood home of Grey Lynn, Taiotims is excited to share that he has been requested to perform alongside Base FM DJ and good friend Jay Knight at this year's Grey Lynn Festival.
Taiotims' portfolio has grown rapidly since he hit the NZ Hip Hop scene being featuring on NZ music publication platform Muzic.net.nz and national radio stations such as Mai FM, Base FM and Niu FM. His hit single All For You was playlisted on Niu FM's rotational playlists which was later place on the Top 100 for Radioscope NZ's 'Most Added' charts, placing at #37. He then headed on to perform his next release Hope live-to-air on Base FM's Native Tongues show.
Being a proud central Auckland Polynesian kid with roots linking to the islands of Niue and Samoa, for Taiotims, he aspires to be a spokesperson for those that suffer from mental health problems, regardless of nationality or area code.
With his debut EP Thank You For Your Patience, Taiotims signals that he is grateful for everyone's patience and is ready to let the world dive a bit deeper into his soul.
Thank You For Your Patience is now available on all platforms.
