The Poverty Moth by Black Velvet Butterfly is Gothic Metal. The song being a social commentary on poverty. The lyrics paints a picture of despondence and despair from the point of view of a Moth who has been allowed to flourish in his filthy surroundings undisturbed by the houses inhabitants.

Black Velvet Butterfly explores goth music and its sub genres. From Auckland New Zealand they have recently released their second album, the self titled Black Velvet Butterfly, and they have grown a strong listenership on Spotify throughout the 2 years they've been active. They have received radio and internet exposure right across the globe and are a favourite with goth DJ's.
