Bone-cushing alt-rock act Skitch Hiker share their head-banging track Slippery Wet Handshake, a satirical look at the absurdity of human conflict, with a frantic official video by Aiden Courtnell. The single takes the listener on a journey of a soldier slowly losing their mind in the surrounding chaos, with the video acting as a dream or memory that masks the trauma of the soldier's experiences.
Formed in 2020, Skitch Hiker features members Jonathan Ashwell, Luke Dickens and Chops McWatters. Over the course of the year they experimented with a plethora of creative ideas brought by each member, and their sound now reflects the punching, rich dark howls of bands like Black Sabbath, Soundgarden, Led Zeppelin to name a few. A blend of anti-war themes with dark, sardonic, surrealist humour make Skitch Hiker's identity completely their own.
Slippery Wet Handshake will be available on all digital platforms from Friday 16th June, via Scallywag Records.
