deepState is the musical project of Jessica Morgan (she/her), a musician and songwriter based in Tāmaki Makaurau. Her music is a journey of electronic experimentation, investigating the nuances of House, Electronica, Downtempo, Garage and Breakbeat.

Today deepState shares the title track from her new album Dreams (released digitally on September 1 via Sunreturn).

Dreams ups the tempo on deepState's previous works, transporting the listener through a melting pot of electronic genres. Muffled melodies and soft synth pads and underpinned by energetic drum beats.

"Emotionally charged pads, strings and vocals almost always make an appearance in my productions," says Morgan. "I feel Dreams showcases my love for both somber electronica and high energy dance music combining elements of garage, ambient, and trance styles. With Dream's I combined these with some uplifting synth and arpeggiated melodies to see how I could bring them together in my own way."

Dreams is the second single from deepState's upcoming album that is expected for release in September via Sunreturn. The first single Won’t Let You Down was featured on 7 Sharp, and has commanded the 95bFM Top 10, Student Radio Network and Alt Radioscope charts for the past 6 weeks.
