Mt Maunganui act, Six Two's newest single Cuts finds a home in the 90's Punk Rock sound familiar to those who know bands like No Use for a Name and The Offspring.

The song Cuts started life as a distorted chord progression, a melody, and the simple lyrical line "I am because we are" a concept rooted in the African philosophy of Ubuntu.
A truism that manifests in both the personal and the collective, but we still get ubiquitous responses – “This is not who we are” after the tragedy, contrasted with the “This is who we are” after success.
The desire to take the credit but not the blame, sorry dudes, that’s not how it works, it cuts both ways!
Formed in 2020 against a backdrop of nationwide pandemic lockdowns and shared punk-rock playlists, Mount Maunganui’s Six Two’s are putting the fun back into punk-rock.
Six Two’s music will resonate strongly for fans of The Ramones, The Descendants and nineties So-Cal punk rock. Their highly anticipated second EP Anchors, showcases punk rock energy and infectious melodies. From the sing along title track Anchors to the gritty, socially conscious Cuts, the EP is a tour-de-force of punk rock good times and classic four-on-the-floor bangers.
With a reputation for their high-energy live shows and DIY ethos, the Six Two’s have been making waves in the local punk scene, garnering a loyal following of fans who appreciate their raw, authentic approach to punk rock.
