The Fuzzy Robes announce sophomore spiritual effort 'Midday Prayers'

02 February 2024 - 0 Comments

Resurfacing after a 3 year interlude, elusive prayer-psychedelia collective The Fuzzy Robes have released their new single Invocation, ahead of the release of their latest adaptation of the New Zealand Prayer Book, He Karakia Mihinare o Aotearoa into deep musical metaphor, Midday Prayers - out via Winegum Records on March 27th.

Listen to Invocation here

Lead single Invocation charges in with a deep groove, later melding circling synth textures and fuzzed guitars in a testament to the chaotic nature of midday. It then builds into calling for calm, then into an explicit reflection on how we all may be helpful ourselves in evoking prayer. It comes as the first track on Midday Prayers, mirroring the beginning of the album’s namesake from the Anglican prayer book.

Midday Prayers releases on Holy Wednesday (27th March 2024) via Winegum Records. Pre-orders for vinyl are available now on Bandcamp.
