Band & Musician News - Emma G: Something new is about to 'Start'

Emma G: Something new is about to 'Start'

21 June 2011 - 0 Comments

Seasoned rock veterans Chris Yong (Tadpole, Redline), Dave Rhodes (Stylus) and Craig Taylor (Second Theory) provide the muscular musical backbone behind Emma G’s soaring vocals. This exciting new band’s gutsy ‘heavy pop’ rock is full of energy, soul and attitude.

Emma G has been writing songs and singing live since childhood, performing in bars and clubs as a solo acoustic artist all over New Zealand. “I’m inspired by all types of music, from Pink to Iron Maiden, but when I write I usually draw on my own life experiences,” explains Emma.

The Emma G Band's debut single 'Start' is out now. "It's about people who avoid getting into relationships because they're afraid they might get hurt," says Emma.

'Start' is produced and engineered by Tui-award winning engineer Dave Rhodes (Blindspott, Michael Murphy, Stylus).  The song was chosen as the first single by fans of the Emma G Band and in return, is available as a free download through their website (http://www.emmagmusic.com/).

With gigs all over the country and the upcoming release of their debut EP, the Emma G Band's debut single is just the 'Start'.
