The Outsiders have toured constantly since their inception in 2008, taking in the United States, Europe, the United Kingdom and multiple tours of Australia and New Zealand.
This heavy touring has lead to record deals with Anchorless Records - New York (St Catherines, Dead to Me), Underground Communique - Chicago (Methadones, Suicide Machines) and more recently Deadboy Records back home in New Zealand.
The band has played shows and toured alongside bands such as NOFX, Dead To Me, Megadeth, Against Me, Propagandhi and countless others.
The band has been featured on Blank TV, in AMP Magazine, Groove Guide and are a regular on Punknews.org
2012 is shaping up to be another huge year for the band with the release of their EP ‘Shallow Graves’ supported by much more heavy touring.
The new EP showcases a more focused and progressive approach to a sound created through a love of punk and rock with heart.
Bands such as Jawbreaker, The Replacements and early Against Me have helped influence the music, while the songs within are those of a band who have grown, but refuse to stop chasing what is just over the horizon.
Experiences such as screaming their lungs out at house shows on the Canadian border, getting lost in the countryside in Belgium and playing at dive bars in Las Vegas have continued to stoke the fire of the band and ‘Shallow Graves’ is the result.
Outsiders have just completed a ten week whirlwind United States tour including sold out appearances at The Fest 10 in Florida, Red Octoberfest in Chicago and supporting shows with Cobra Skulls (Fatwreck Chords), Nothington (Red Scare) and many more.”
