“Since forming in Gisborne city in 2005 Saving Grace have gone on to become one of New Zealand's most prolific and successful heavy music exports.
From playing shows in a garage to 20 people to signing multinational record deals, sold out festival appearances across the world and countless tours cementing their name as a prominent force in the metal / hardcore genre, the band have gone from strength to strength and show no sign of slowing down.
With the release of their third studio album ‘The King is Coming’ Saving Grace demonstrate why they are undoubtedly one of the country's most breakthrough heavy artists.
Taking influence from classic 90s death and thrash bands such as Slayer, Deicide, Sepultura and Machine Head blended with a heavy nod to European and American hardcore bands such as Arkangel, Reprisal and Earth Crisis, Saving Grace create a brutal blend of metal influenced hardcore unlike many of their contemporary peers.
After signing with prolific US label Facedown Records in 2011 Saving Grace will be touring heavily once again across Australasia and North America in support of ‘The King is Coming’ which is being released on Deadboy Records
In New Zealand this February, marking the band’s third release for the label in their home territory.
‘The King is Coming’ was produced and engineered by NZ metal guru ZORRAN MENDONSA (Subtract, Cobra Khan, Antagonist AD, In Dread Response) and mastered by the legendary LOGAN MADER (Soulfly, Divine Heresy, Devil Driver, Gojira, Cavalera Conspiracy) original guitarist from US metal heavyweights Machine Head.
Since their inception Saving Grace have shared the road and stage with many top names in international metal and hardcore including the likes of Bring Me The Horizon, Bleeding Through, Parkway Drive, Suffocation, As I Lay Dying, Emmure, Darkest Hour and Underoath to name a few.
‘The King is Coming’ has already received rave reviews across the USA and is indisputably the heaviest Christian music release from our shores.”
