Memorable acts in the all-too-fickle music industry are almost always a more inspired concoction than merely the sum product of the contributing ingredients. Auckland, New Zealand's Snakes Of Iron exemplify the truth in this claim, with its band personnel - including former members of The Have, False Start, So To Speak, Los Muertos and Cold By Winter - producing the most accomplished and meaningful individual contributions of their respective seasoned backgrounds in music to create a collective beast that roars beyond the mere confluence of such one-man streams of creative input.
Formed and formalised in 2009, the hardcore dirt rock quintet’s artful but grimey and low-down blend of pummeling rhythms, thick 'n' heavy distortion and headscreamingly expressive vocals has served to cultivate a loyal fan base and has seen the band share stages with international luminaries A Day To Remember, Saosin, Bless The Fall, Cancer Bats, cKy, Poison The Well and Strung Out, among others, as well as eking out their profile in the domestic New Zealand scene by performing with local heavyweights including Beastwars, Cobra Khan, Subtract, Kitsch, Antagonist A.D and Decortica.
Having released their self-titled debut EP two years ago, the time has come for the freshest and best SNAKES OF IRON material in a recorded format to make its way to an anticipating public. April 9th 2012 will see the release of SNAKES OF IRON’s new digital EP, SCAVENGERS. Stay tuned to the band's social media sites for up to date news on their not-to-be-missed live shows.
