Christchurch's Phantom Empire (a 3-piece alternative electro-rock band) are releasing their debut "mini-album" on the Friday 21st, December 2012.
The album has an apocalyptic narrative and is aptly entitled "If The World Burns". The release date couldn't be better timed, coinciding with the same date predicted by the ancient Mayans to be the end of the world. The album written during Christchurch's most severe aftershocks; deals with themes of destruction, love-lost and inspirational hope. “If The World Burns” features high energy songs guaranteed to be a dynamic soundtrack during the summer months.
Phantom Empire will be celebrating this release with their Pledge Me supporters and friends (who in total pledged over $2500 towards the release) and aim to follow up with an official public release campaign early 2013.
ITWB (If The World Burns) has been meticulously recorded and produced with help from York Street Studios, Auckland, and Christchurch's premier facility Quicksand Studios. The album is available online via from Friday 21st Dec. CD's and other merchandise will be available direct from RKCNDY Entertainment & Creative.
