P-Money recently released his much anticipated album Gratitude: a triumphant return to his hip hop roots, featuring an impressive roll-call of the genre’s most respected MCs and vocalists. Now the iconic Producer and DJ strips back the all-star vocals and lets his music speak for itself, treating listeners to Gratitude Instrumental Versions, out today.
Continuing to show Gratitude to fans, P-Money is releasing these instrumentals beyond the world of tastemakers and DJs, giving all listeners the opportunity to have a deeper listen to his latest compositions.
“For me I always enjoy getting instrumental versions of my favourite songs. Firstly because I'm a fan of producers and beats, and secondly so I can mix them into my DJ sets. Also they’re good for aspiring rappers and songwriters to use for inspiration. Hopefully people have fun with these instrumental versions and put them to good use!”.
Before collaborating with some of hip-hop’s biggest names on Gratitude (M.O.P., Freddie Gibbs, Havoc (of Mobb Deep) Roc Marciano among them) P-Money co-wrote and produced five of the biggest New Zealand singles: Not Many, Stand Up, & Stop The Music ft Scribe, Keep On Callin ft Akon and Everything ft Vince Harder.
P-Money also co-produced the entire Treble & Reverb album for soul sensation Aaradhna and more recently, brought her and hip-hop heavyweight Talib Kweli together to collaborate with him on the Gratitude single Celebration Flow.
