Auckland band Three Houses Down have just dropped the video for their summer anthem Love and Affection featuring New Zealand’s youngest reggae star, General Fiyah.

Released in November, Love and Affection has captured hearts around the world. Written by 10-year-old Nicholas Pome'e, AKA General Fiyah, the single has had more than 60,000 streams on Spotify, is currently #44 on the radio airplay chart (and #5 most played NZ song) and top 50 iTunes.

Now the video - directed, filmed and edited by Samson Rambo - is set to do the same. The majority of the clip is shot on Orewa Beach and on home turf in Otara, Auckland.

Shot in one day, the video features all local musicians, as well as dancers handpicked from the famous Otara-based Prestige dance crew, with much of the dance freestyled on location.

Three Houses Down was formed in 2004 by brothers Rob, Sione and Charlie Pome'e and is now one of New Zealand’s most respected acts on the international stage. They’ve forged a path across the globe with their infectious blend of roots, rock and reggae.

As the band's sound and following has grown and developed, so too has the band itself, with Rob’s son, 10-year-old General Fiyah, stepping up to the mic on Love and Affection – a catchy tune he penned about an unrequited crush he had on a girl at school.

“I soon discovered that all I needed in this day and age is the love of my family and I wanted to make clear, especially to those that have been there for me since day one,” says General Fiyah.
