sack the organisers! that announcement sucks besides shihad ... metalheads will be extremely dissapointed. .. i tell ya what .. if there is another announcement it better be something great ... cos i seriously doubt theyre sell out this years bdo

I'm actually really dissapointed and surprised at the Big Day Out organisers, normally at the second announcement theres a few decent international acts, and a few semi international, along with the ones I've never heard of and the local bands. This year, I know, Mudvayne? who are shit, and yea, I have no idea who the others are, except the local acts.

Whats more this is the FINAL annoucement, there wont be a third. which sucks penquin cock even more.

Do ya reckon they're doing it on purpose because they know they're gona sell tickets anyway?

ohwell, I'm still going, atleast AFI are playing...

I reckon Wolfmother will be cool, and Common!! I really like the Go! Team, reckon they'll be cool live.

And the Greenhornes - doesn't Jack White play with them??

yea a bit of a letdown aye (wouldnt mind mudvayne).......i shudnt even be here i got an exam tomorrow that second announcement took a few seconds of time which i could have spent studying.....im gonna go cram......

Mudvayne are not even that good anymore .. ld 50 was best, theyve just gone down the drain ... besides them and shihad . what worth is there to go , and is that really the final announcement?

I'm a freelance gig photographer who's not prepared to spend big bucks getting up from Dunners if I cant take decent pics.

AFI CANCEL BIG DAY OUT APPEARANCES

BIG DAY OUT organisers regret to bring you the news that Californian hardcore band AFI will no longer be journeying to Australia and New Zealand for the 2006 BIG DAY OUT.

The band are currently in the studio working on their new album which is running late and is now not due for completion until next year. Plans for touring have consequently been put on hold.

The BIG DAY OUT is currently considering options for a replacement, so stay tuned.
