RE: Big Day Out 2008 Posted: Wed Jan 30, 2008 4:51 pm RATM are one of those bands where the unit as a whole is bigger than the sum of its parts. All of those guys by themsevles are good, but as a unit.. WOW. Something else happens. The fire and spirit of those RATM albums is absolutely untouchable. |

RE: Big Day Out 2008 Posted: Sat Feb 2, 2008 1:54 am Quote:To the person who thinks there "just another band" maybe you should pay some attention to their message, it's more relevant today than ever. And how can you say that about a band that involves Morello?????Everyone that likes rage seem to act as if they are the only band out there, Morello is good but there are just as good/better guitarists out there. Their message may be good and I agree with it all but it doesn't make up for anything else. |

I challenge you to name a guitarist that can do what Tom Morello does better. Name someone who plays lead break/rhythms by pulling out their guitar cable and tapping it on the strings or uses an allen key to scratch the riff like on people of the sun etc. And as for Bjork getting booed... Innovative or not, she should not have been between Shihad and Rage, she kind of got a rough deal. You can't expect metalheads to put up with that art music. She should have had her own stage away from regular bands where her fans could go and appreciate her. |
