Yeah just to doubly confirm, although just the main guitarists are advertised as playing, most of them actually have their full band coming with them too.

yeah what of it Joe satriani in the flesh again other than on ytube but shyte what the who needs that baldheaded mofo to show us how to play, his is a genre that works for him and all those other pretend gat players.

So whats wrong with our guitar players like Kemp Huriwaka, Dallas, Billy TK, Roy Jacobs, Karena Puhi fuck there are heaps of them. Oh I know why its because the pakeha's will not play our music nor will they give our music a chance its all white or nothing plus it is not that hard to string a lead break together anyone can do it .........

bring that satriani dick to wellington and we will show him how to play

this show will be like that kiss, ozzie osbourne gig, full of old pakeha colonial musicians playing songs of superiority to an uninterested non existent audience except for muzz and his two dogs

People are going to these concerts to see international players - like the very un-Pakeha Vernon Reid!! By the way, I understand that the MAORI Kara Gordon is playing with his band too and will be jamming with Glenn Hughes.

There are a lot of grateful kids going to get a huge deal out of this for their learning and potential careers. Get off your high horse man.

I'm not knocking any of the guitarists you mentioned though, I'm mates with one of Billy TK's boys, and he's one VERY talented half-caste, who proably doesn't give a toss what race you are.

I can't believe you've tried to make this racial. Don't give me this crap about pakeha's not playing "your" music when we've got crappy "urban" polynesian hip-hop raping my ears every time I turn on C4.

Oh, by the way - Billy TK Junior toured with Satriani.

Why oh why then do we have LOTS of Maori and Pacific Island musicians in our charts then?

Why oh why then, is Katchafire (a Maori Reggae group) one of my favourite bands?

I'd be more concerned about hip-hop furthering negative polynesian stereotypes than the lack of support for maori guitarists
