i want to move to nz
Posted: Thu Aug 19, 2004 8:56 am
hello all who are one day ahead... into the future. in my land they call me aaron coyes, my land being oakland california. i am hoping to move to NZ to live for some time to play music and get rad so to speak. as of now i am selling everything i own a huge record collection, music equiptment, art work etc... well i'm not trying to sell any body anything except i suppose, metaphorically, my self. i've some questions about availability of items in NZ. i have been producing/recording/playing music for some many years now and wish when i make the move to do that in NZ but am curious to the availability of recording and music equiptment. here's a list so far of the music i've recorded: the fleshies (alternative tenticles, 1st record), year future (gold standard labs, Live @ psychic wig-my home and studio), Chromatics (gold standard labs, 1st full length, i just finished the remix), Heart of Snow (gold standard labs not the ep, but some old material yet to be released), Unborn Unicorn bretheren ov thee free spirit (yet to be released psychedlia my current project), short eyes (oakland thrash punk band), lion heart mirth (mems of C.r.a.c.k. war, for a comp w/ miranda july, big techno werewolves, wolfeyes, on folding tapes i believe), Dead and Gone (live , joy division cover show to be released on gold standard labs), there are more but this list is beggining to make me feel egomaniacal. So i am wondering about the availability of analog tape machines and mixiing boards, i've gotta bunch of really neat old mic's i'd like to ship, and wondering about shipping my tape machines and twin reverb and guitars cause i want to play music and like i said get rad! um what else, i've been building synth's and noise machines, play piano/organ, saxaphone, guitar, bass, wish i could play drums, shit throw something in front of me and i'll try. love it when there's a lack of ego, don't have any aversions to music-- if it comes from the soul it's gotta be good. e-mail me if you can i am planning on first spending three months in thailand doing field recording and playing with musicians there then making my way to NZ, the time frame is a little up in the air- pretty much when i can sell all my bellongings. thanks for reading this if you made it to the end, Love aaron coyes. you can email me at [email protected]
