and i heard on the radio that this new age pop music is now punk
i was disgusted and turned that stupied radio off

i disagree
pop is the new punk, not vice versa
think about it, most new "punk" bands are poppy. yellowcard, bowling for soup, etc etc

real punk shouldnt even be close pop, real punk used to be about the politics, and like anti-everything, dude. things just kinda changed over the years

it was going against everything they dressed different the couldnt really play and it wasnt bout the instrument it was about being yourself.
i think as long as its close to your heart then it cant be all bad

oh that makes me sad that pop and punk have just become the same thing!i feel sorry for all the old grandpa punks that are watching this generation of music. everything they worked for!just to see it be lumped in the same catagory as pop.
i dont understand how people could even consider yellowcard and even greenday(even though i like greenday) as punk. its not! id call yellowcard emo cos the lyrics are all about girls and love and emotional stuff. thats not punk. punk was about the politics and rebelling against the government, not wanting to conform to everything that was "in". but its turned into the oposite now punk is just a trend and its fashionable to be a punk.its been turned into everything that it wasnt supposed to be. do you know what makes me mad! magazines having articles about "How to Dress Punk". You dont get lessons on how to dress punk it disgusts me. i just want to vomit.

Bands like the clash, ramones, sex pistols, dead kennedys are awesome! real punk is sooo good and if kids these days listened to bands like that then listened to the crap they are getting fed by the radio they would see what we are getting angry about to!!

oh and i think the new fashion should be no fashion! dres however the fuk u wanna.
