i've noticed people who are vegetarians are more likely to try and convert meat eaters than meat eaters trying to convert vegetarians. I think it is because meat eaters just don't care. We know it's from animals and we know how the economy works, but who cares? it tastes good.

you only live once, maybe people should look at the way their automobiles affect the environment before they start looking at their food. Or how smoking affects your lungs?

I had a moment of clarity once when cutting into some ham on the bone... I think I didn't eat meat for a few months.

Then I stoped caring

I honestly have no qualms about eating meat, the killing of the animal isn't a problem for me - animals die savagely everywhere every day in the name of dinner... howerver I DO have a problem with the way we treat them before they get killed. The treatment of battery hens is one example.

However I'll put up my hand and say "ignorance is bliss" and love the smell of a steak when it's thrown on a hot pan.. mmmmmmmmmmmmmm. Definately a carnivore I am, but living with a vegetarian girlfriend has broadened my culinary horizons.
