Paul McLaney is one of New Zealand's leading singer/songwriters and has gained the respect of many in the industry. This was proven by his nomination for Best Male Vocalist in the 2007 Vodafone NZ Music Awards.

'Diamond Side' is Paul's second solo album. The album was recorded in Los Angeles and produced by Michael Frondelli (Crowded House, Led Zeppelin, Rolling Stones).
