Auckland five-piece Mile High have partnered up with Wellington rockers Mercury Crowe to embark on an extensive tour of New Zealand this June. Building on the recent commercial success of both bands, the tour will cover both North and South Islands including two appearances at the infamous Queenstown Winter Festival.
Kicking off on June 10th at The Garden Club in Wellington, the three-week tour will include Napier, Auckland, Raglan, Timaru, Queenstown, Wanaka and Coronet Peak. Both bands are looking to raise their profile by combining to offer punters a rock and roll show of the finest quality; featuring the best local support acts in the country.
The tour will showcase brand new material as-well-as old favorites in what is sure to be an unforgettable night of homegrown rock.
The bands will also be running a tour blog through NZRock.com featuring write-ups, videos and photos. It will be updated on the road giving people a behind the scenes look at touring in NZ.
"We love touring, it's a great way to play outside of your comfort zone, gain new fans, see the country and meet heaps of awesome people. Being on the road with our good mates Mercury Crowe is a massive bonus for us as well, they're cool guys - it's going to be great" - Mile High Guitarist Kevin Nolan.
"We can't wait to get back on the road and play our new songs. Combining with Mile High will make for a wicked show." - Mercury Crowe Bassist Rowan Clark
