the beautiful losers is.. Beatspeak and Cellotronics
Beautiful Losers is the work of Paul Williams and Shane Hollands

Paul Williams has been writing and performing his own music since the late
60s. A self-taught cellist, he has spent the last year developing
'CelloTronics" which involves processing sound created on the cello through
varius effects to build up soundscapes or mini sound tracks. He combines
voice samples and other sounds in a totaly improvised nature for each
performance. As well as releasing the "lostalive @ the Odeon" CD as Part of
the Beautiful Losers, Paul has also recorded a solo CD of CelloTronics
called "Beyond Here" which has just been released.

Shane Hollands is one of New Zealand's foremost Jazz Beat Poets who has
developed his extraordinary performance style over twenty years. He has
performed extensively around Auckland and throughout New Zealand, delivering his unique Jazz Prose to delighted audiences. The fusion of his words and Paul's Cellotronics has to be heard to believe.
