In association with Kaos FM, SwerveFest is a celebration and collaboration of some of the heavy hidden gems of the Auckland/NZ rock and metal scene!

Crooked Royals are a dual fronted band with soaring melodic cleans and intense screaming that is layered upon technical riffs and chuggy breakdowns. Crooked Royals have had Incredible success with their latest singles which led to them touring with metalcore heavyweights Polaris, Northlane and Monuments. They are currently looking ahead to the future, releasing 2 new singles this year.

Swerve City are a band from Auckland, that seems drawn together by fate. In just a year, the band can already boast a slew of victories, from featuring on the National Charts, to becoming finalists in Radio NZ's Kiwi Cover competition. All of this is to point to their fiercely calculated live show, which moves and grows with a mind of it's own.

Animalhead is a West Auckland trio who channel a huge sound, similar to the likes of Rage Against the Machine and Royal Blood. The lads have been hard at work writing new tunes to blow your faces off. "They are one of those acts that brings so much intense raw energy and power to their live shows" - Muzic.net.nz

Full Bloom released their debut single and official music video Black Lung early in 2020 followed by the 5 track Black Lung EP. The band were quick to follow up this release with an impressive step up in production with the new single Malware accompanied by a huge official music video - released late 2020.The band is currently in the middle of writing their next release/s and has goals pinned to impress.

White Noise Mafia are a four piece from Auckland making big waves with their high energy blend of rock and metal, and a live show that pulls no punches. Arriving on the scene by taking out the much vaunted Ding Dong Lounge battle of the bands, WNM have built on this with key support slots and a brilliant first single and video for The Divide. A live show that must not be missed!

States - With a sound that’s best described an aural smackdown, States is a band that doesn't pull their musical punches when it comes to making noise in any format. Comprised of members from Heathen Eyes, Rumour City and Anemoia, States is the combined pedigree of hard edged vocals and huge, heavy musical energy from a band that makes an impact live with an explosive performance and energy which seamlessly translates to their latest single release Relentless. Combining this huge depth of experience, which harks back to the ‘nu’ sounds of radio-played rap rock of the early 00’s to the progressive metal tones of today, results in an act which isn’t easily followed.
