No one is safe as Theia continues her crushing crusade to the 2024 release of her debut album, with this new hard-hitting single Dollhouse.

A hard-n-fast beat paired with grungy guitar, Dollhouse is pure riot pop - fierce and high-energy with hooks for days. And in keeping with Theia’s penchant for preaching the truth, it’s delivered with cutting, confessional one-liners.

“Dollhouse is about breaking free of the restraints and pushing back against the expectations put on girls to be perfect and pure, well-mannered and living in the ideal nuclear family,” says Theia.

Dollhouse is the fourth single from Theia’s highly anticipated full-length debut record, which is due out next year. It follows previously released singles Pray 4 Me, Girls! and Crucified By U, which inspired the first episode in Yeehawtheboys x UTR’s new comics music journalism series. Check it out here.

The new single comes hot on the heels of Theia’s announcement of her Girl In A Savage World Tour. Girl In A Savage World is a special performance of reimagined songs from Theia’s critically acclaimed alt-pop catalogue alongside dreamy waiata from her award-winning reo Māori project Te Kaahu. It is the first time both projects will be presented on the same stage to the same audience. It launches at Reimagine Festival (Taranaki) on October 6; then travels to Tauranga Arts Festival on October 20; Hawkes Bay Arts Festival on October 22; and the Nelson Arts Festival on October 27 and 28.

Although seemingly worlds apart, at the heart of both Theia and Te Kaahu projects is a songwriter and storyteller with great depth. Girl In A Savage World brings both musical identities together for the first time in a potent and thought-provoking live show, which reinforces the power that music has in bridging differences.

Working with a small band of some of Aotearoa’s finest musicians, Girl In A Savage World will take the audience to soaring heights and devastating depths.
