Local dancefloor legends Flamingo Pier keep the party alive with their latest music video, Beneath The Neon. The infectious title track is from their recent EP released through the cult New York dance label Razor-N-Tape (Midnight Magic, Tigerbalm, Frank Booker).
Beneath The Neon is all about disco vibes, featuring a lively bassline, a catchy call-and-response chorus, and uplifting trumpet work by Jack Thirtle. The video perfectly captures the song’s essence with scenes filled with hazy smoke, shimmering disco balls, and fluorescent lights. It’s packed with live footage from the band’s recent global tour, including shows at New York’s indie music venue, The Sultan Room, and an intimate set shot on a beachside terrace retreat in Mexico.
As they continue their Aotearoa tour, the band is gearing up for the final stops, including Auckland's multi-room extravaganza at Hollywood Avondale with special guests including Frank Booker, and Lou' ana on October 27. Be sure to secure the last tickets at Banishedmusic.com
Luke Walker from Flamingo Pier shares: “We had such a blast taking our new EP around the globe. It’s been an epic start to the Aotearoa tour, and it feels good to be home and dancing together again. We hope our new EP keeps you going all summer long. See you on the dancefloor!”
