Farmer Pimp is pleased to announce the Sweet Hot Pepper Pop album release gig for Friday 23 April at 420, K Road, Auckland.
Having added the final touches of sweet and spice to their debut album they are eager to get on stage with an 11-piece band set-up which includes a string quartet and horn section making their live show super lush!
To be released Monday 26 April, Sweet Hot Pepper Pop is the follow up to their widely applauded EP Good Thing, released in 2006. The album includes the new single Disney Love which is at radio now and continues their sound of up-beat grooves, lush arrangements and bittersweet melodies, while also pushing the envelope further, creating music that eludes both genre and time reference.
Formed at music school 6 years ago, Farmer Pimp is the creative partnership of Mark Michel (songwriter/producer) and Claire Holmes (songwriter/singer), with band: prominent local musicians John-Paul Muir (songwriter/keys), and Glen Child (drums). Applauded for their dynamic live shows and fresh from a scorching set at the Big Day Out, Farmer Pimp are looking forward to announcing the forthcoming second single plus a nationwide tour for later in the year.
