Grammy Award-winning producer and Rapper David Banner is set to hit New Zealand to play a one-off show in Auckland on Saturday 24 July at TheTrusts Stadium Arena, with support from New Zealand Hip Hop heavyweights, Smashproof and Savage.
With a string of critically acclaimed singles and albums under his belt as a solo artist, David Banner has also collaborated with some of the highest profile hip hop musicians around and will be best recognised in NZ with his #1 US hit single ‘Get Like Me’ featuring Chris Brown; ‘Like A Pimp’ featuring Lil Flip (remix feat. Twista & Busta Rhymes); ‘Play’ and ‘Touchin’’ featuring Jazze Pha.
A man of many talents, David Banner’s music production credits include Lil’ Wayne (The Carter III album received a Grammy for Best Rap Album), Snoop Dogg, Chris Brown, Kanye West, Diddy, Trick Daddy, Maroon 5, Nelly, Anthony Hamilton and many more.DavidBanner is also an renowned actor and has appeared in feature films such as ‘This Christmas’ (w/Idris Elba, Regina King), ‘Black Snake Moan’ (w/ Samuel L. Jackson), and ‘The Experiment’ (w/Forrest Whitaker/ Adrian Brody) and ‘Days Of Wrath’ (w/Taye Diggs, Laurence Fishburne, Wilmer Valderrama) to name but a few.
David Banner is currently working on his forthcoming album with Grammy Award Winning producer9th Wonder, called ‘Death Of A Popstar’ to be released via his own label, b.i.G.f.a.c.e. The first single ‘Slow Down’ is out at radio now, and is starting to make waves at urban stations.
