In the middle of recording their second album, Wellington psych rock outfit Spartacus R will abandon the studio for the road as they head off on a nation wide tour this July.
It feels like a long time since their album-release tour of early 2009 which took the band as far as Stewart Island, and they are looking forward to the thrill of playing a bunch of fun, energetic, live shows again.
The six-piece group have built up a reputation for putting on grand, one-off shows such as Spartacus R in Octophonic, SR's Delusions in 3D, SR with Ben Brown at Downstage Theatre, and SR & Circadian rhythm project at Splore.
On this tour SR have put together a taste of tracks from the new album as well as exerpts from their pallet of one off shows mentioned above.
Look forward to a compilation with some of their best compositions on this NZ tour.
