H.A.C. AUCKLAND: AHoriBuzz & The Nudge!
Saturday 21 May, Khuja Lounge
Loop, Groove Guide & Kiwi FM are bringing the bros to Auckland and helping to re-launch a spruced up and sound enhanced Khuja Lounge.
AHoriBuzz and The Nudge are two bad-ass bands world famous outside of Auckland. Witness the creation of New Zealand’s funk, blues, & psychedelic future.
AHoriBuzz
AHoriBuzz is the solo project and brainchild of Aaron Tokona (Weta, Cairo Knife Fight, Bongmaster). Tokona leads the trio on vocals, MPC and guitar while Hori and Nick Gaffney (also Cairo Knife Fight) anchor the outfits mean rhythm section. They have released two choice songs that have become underground favourites and played an erratic string of impressive gigs that have earned them a pretty chur-ific reputation.
AHoriBuzz bring the funk and soul like no one else, wielding their instruments with hectic passion in a dangerously free manner.
The Nudge
Ryan Prebble, Iraia Whakamoe & James Coyle are The Nudge! Creating a fresh form of innovative blues, the boys are all individually inspired by multiple genres forming a complex sound often termed as psychedelic swampy blues. Having recently toured with and supported Little Bushman, Fly My Pretties and The Black Seeds; a wave of worship has begun in response to their wicked live show.
The Nudge have just finished recording their debut album in Lee Prebble’s infamous studio, The Surgery, and are ready to once again bask in the limelight and plunge audiences into their swampy sounds.
The Khuja Lounge doors will be shut three weeks prior to the event so it can be made flash as – don’t miss the big unveiling and a chance to witness the fitness of AHoriBuzz and The Nudge!
