Gig & Concert News - The Feelers Announce Summer Tour Dates

The Feelers Announce Summer Tour Dates

10 November 2011 - 0 Comments

After an extensive Rugby World Cup campaign playing fan zones nation-wide, The Feelers are continuing their celebratory mood by announcing a string of summer dates with their special guests and partying with you in their favourite summer haunts.

The upcoming series of weekend shows will round off what has been a full and productive year for the band, culminating in the release of their new album Hope Nature Forgives, as always the best reason for getting out on the road with some good friends and fellow musicians.  Playing all of their classics live and loud including The Fear, Communicate and Larger Than Life, as well as a selection of new tracks including the No 1 single Didn't Want To Fall In Love, Dasvidaniya, Right Here Right Now and Can't Fix Me (Snakes), The Feelers will be bringing a party-central vibe to a hot summer spot near you soon.

Not that James Reid and Hamish Gee need a new album as an excuse to tour!  For nearly twenty years their musical partnership has resulted in The Feelers amassing some remarkable statistics – a quarter of a million album sales; five multi platinum albums; three number one albums, seven number one singles, 2049 gigs and 183,712km in a van!

For the first show at the Albany Pub in Auckland, The Feelers have asked fellow rockers Black River Drive to join them.  Combining razor sharp riffs with moments of calm clarity, Black River Drive stormed onto the NZ music scene last year and have quickly established themselves as one of this country’s definitive modern rock acts. Hitting the top of the rock charts and holding pole position for several weeks with their songs “Bullet for your gun” and “Call The Doctor”, the band are renowned for their consistently excellent live performances and expertly crafted rock anthems.

Sat 31 December will be a New Years Eve to remember, with one of NZ’s best loved bands re-uniting to see out the end of the year with their great friends The Feelers.  It was an easy gig to put together, given that ex-Zed guitarist Andy Lynch is now a full member of The Feelers and the recent gig at party central was a total sell-out.  ZED will perform all of their hits including Glorafilia, Oh! Daisy and Renegade Fighter – all songs to make for a big party to welcome in 2012!

Get ready for the best Summer Ever, join James, Hamish, Matt and Andy for the Hope Nature Forgives Summer Tour.

Keep an eye out for further announcements of the special guests to join them at each show.

Tickets for the Albany Pub* and New Years Eve Papamoa Tavern gigs are on sale now!
