Parachute Music has announced the lineup for January’s Parachute Festival, which celebrates its 23rd year in 2013.
San Diego’s Grammy Award-winning rockers Switchfoot make their anticipated return to the festival’s stage, as do Christian rock legends Newsboys. The strong suit lineup also boasts global worship pioneers Hillsong United, Atlanta dance-rockers Family Force Five, Georgia hip-hop wunderkind LeCrae, ex-pat rockers Evermore, apocalyptic metal outfit Oh, Sleeper, festival favourites Rapture Ruckus and Californian hardcore crew Sleeping Giant. Arizona industrial shock-rockers White Collar Sideshow will also be bringing their travelling audiovisual circus to Parachute 2013, alongside Chinese rapper/actor MC Jin and Atlanta talk-music crew Listener.
Parachute 2013’s headliners also include the cream of the local crop, with Parachute Band, Ruby Frost, Lydia Cole, Massad, Seth Haapu, Loui the Zu, Donell Lewis, Saving Grace, Edge Kingsland, Great North, Brooke Duff, Tom Lark and Bella Kalolo and many more waving the flag.
As well as music, Parachute 2013 will showcase a range of world-class speakers and thought-leaders, including Paul Young, author of the New York Bestseller “ The Shac k ” and Jake Lawson, co-founder of “Number one Christian porn site” XXXChurch.
Parachute 2013 is also excited to announce Christian music stalwart and filmmaker Steve Taylor, who will present the New Zealand premiere of his film adaptation of New York Times bestseller “Blue Like Jazz”.

Parachute Festival 2013 will take place from 25-27 January 2013 at Mystery Creek Events Centre, Hamilton.
Earlier this year Parachute Music announced some changes to their annual festival, including cheaper, capped tickets, the use of RFID technology and streamlining the festival to 3 days.
