Kora’s Latest Album “Light Years” Launches at Warp Speed

25 September 2012 - 0 Comments

It’s secret.  It’s supersonic and it might just start a Facebook frenzy.

Kora fans are being invited to attend an out of this world, private, live performance of the funk meisters’ eagerly awaited latest album - Light Years – at Auckland’s Galatos Live on Thursday October 25th
But they might want to set their phasers to settle down because there’s a catch.
There’s only one way into this exclusive album release party at Auckland’s Galatos and that’s to win a ticket.

Lucky fans can grab their chance to celebrate with Kora by answering a question on the Kora Facebook page. The competition will run every Monday for 4 weeks from Monday 24th September - with winners being privately messaged the following Friday with information on how to retrieve their tickets.

With only 100 double passes available to this exclusive event, competition promises to be fierce.  Especially when two lucky winners from Wellington and Christchurch will also have their return flights and accommodation thrown in.

This will be the first time Kora has performed “Light Years” live but reactions to the new album have already been stellar.  The marriage of live and programmed instrumentation powers an unstoppable groove that provides the sci-fi soundtrack to a collective fascination with video game culture, cosmology and space exploration.

And to complement Kora’s sexy, intergalactic sound - the venue itself promises to take guests on a sensory, visual journey to a whole new world – one that’s light years away.
