2015 was a highly successful year for Groeni, with the release of two EP’s; Hewn (Project Mooncircle) and Hinde (Independent) the Wellington-based live electronica band enjoyed critical praise globally from BBC6, KCRW, Indie Shuffle, EDM.com, Sunday Star Times, and many other media outlets.
Groeni are showing no signs of slowing down in 2016. They are excited to unveil a very limited edition vinyl pressing of their most recent EP Hinde. Released in collaboration with Coffee Supreme, it’s a beautifully packaged and mastered document of some of their best music to date. Also, as proud recipients of a one off video grant collaboration between Red Bull Sound Select and NZ On Air, Groeni are also happy to announce the release of their second music video Hinde.
The limited edition vinyl was released in late January just before Groeni made their festival debut at Laneway 2016. Hinde is now on sale through http://www.groenimusic.nz/

Fortunes
No-one blends the gritty groove of hip-hop with the raw emotion of R&B like Melbourne’s Fortunes. The duo bring intimacy to electronic music and fresh energy to classic soul.
Fortunes are a soul/hip-hop/electronic duo building momentum in Melbourne’s music scene. A collaboration between producer Barnaby Matthews and vocalist Conor McCabe - both originally from NZ - Fortunes meld layered soundscapes on thick, glitchy bass-lines. Their sound flows with innate groove, and is brought to life by flawless and intimate vocal delivery. Both danceable and moving, Fortunes are an unmissable act.

Sui Zhen
Sui Zhen is the alias of Melbourne-based artist Becky Sui Zhen. After releasing two complimentary EPs on Tokyo labels in 2014, Female Basic and Body Reset, Becky unveiled her debut album Secretly Susan. Following on from her electronic experimentation with ethereal techno-pop and minimal down-tempo 808-lead tracks, the new LP marks a return to more traditional vocal-led pop songs.
Secretly Susan immerses us in the larger narratives that surround Becky’s work, from the banal pastel dystopia of her Infinity Street video to the invention of Susan, an alter ego who manifests in the forthcoming single Take It All Back – these colourful, surreal and staged landscapes allow Becky’s take on pop music to sit within its own uncanny terrain.
