Hone Ngata has been called Aotearoas Number 1 Maori DJ by his mentor Phil Fuemana.

Hone moved to Auckland in late 04 to learn all he could from Phil, with his own album to begin when Phil passed away..refocussing and planning the next phaze of his journey.

His dj experience includes recently djing at a afterparty for Kanye West!!! held at 420, dj support for 5 time world champion DJ Craze!!!performing with the cream of NZ Music, Hiphops Elite to Maori Musicians his career has spanned 20 years.

Also an accomplished carver and graphic artist, Hone helped to carve 3 Wharenui (Traditional Meeting Houses) hes worked and lived in Chicago as an Anthropolgy Intern, recently done graphic work for the Auckland Regional Council and carved a New Doorway for Aucklands new Whitireia Polytech on Queen Street. Phew!

Dj Poroufessor is set to elevate many people into Hiphop Music "im wanting to motivate people beyond what ive done, I still have much to complete, but foremost is to share my gifts, my taonga for the next generation" I want to be a Maori version of P Mizzle...oh thats Money.

Recently a Jam session get together of Aucklands tablists was organised to inspire newcomers. "It was dope, we had 8 turntables and a whole lot of fun. Biggups to all of the aspiring js out there!
