Music News - Radio One Employs Mikhal

After creating the huge and happy marathon of gigs that was Onefest 2006, project manager Mikhal Norriss is staying in Dunedin to take on the position of Radio One 91FM Promotions Manager.
Mikhal arrived in Dunedin to work on Onefest in June, fresh from publicizing this year’s NZ Music Month for NZMIC. No stranger to the bNet, she has previously been Brand Manager for that big bNet station in the north, bFM.
Radio One Station Manager Lesley Paris says she offered Mikhal the position while HDU were sonically hypnotising the crowd on the final night of Onefest. Later in the evening at an unnamed Karaoke bar, Lesley got Mikhal’s signature on the Promotions Manager’s contract between rounds of sake and power ballads, trapping her in Dunedin for the next 8 months.
Mikhal is also a tiger behind the mic so the Monday Drive show is now hers.
