After careful consideration following the recent COVID-19 resurgence, a decision has been made to reschedule the release of ‘Six60: Till the Lights Go Out’, this year’s must-see big-screen event. The movie, by Notable Pictures in association with The New Zealand Film Commission and NZ On Air, and distributed by UMUSIC, will now hit cinemas on November 26th, 2020.
“We know you’re all super excited to see the documentary telling our crazy story, but unfortunately you’re going to have to wait a little bit longer!
To ensure all of New Zealand, especially our most vulnerable fans and essential workers, can see the movie in cinemas as one whānau, we are supporting the movie release date being pushed back to November 26th.
We can’t wait to share our story with you all in November!” – Six60.
Directed by Julia Parnell (The Chills: The Triumph and Tragedy of Martin Phillipps, Anthems) the documentary reveals the meteoric underground rise that transformed rugby-playing students into SIX60, Kiwi music icons reaching a scale previously unseen in New Zealand. Now they must rise up and prove they're worthy of their stage.
Woven with stunning vision of their record-breaking stadium concert, a unique Kiwi sense of humour, and never before seen footage of the band as students in Dunedin, ‘Six60: Till the Lights Go Out’ presents a group of men confronting the true cost of never giving up.
