Eccles…he’s gonna need a bigger desk!
Believe me, this is going to be shit hot.
Getting Citizen Band on stage again is a bit like getting an old suit out of the closet. It’s the original line-up and they’re looking bloody good. I’m telling you, it was by far the most difficult negotiation of the lot. Citizen Band are more of a cask wine band than a beer band, but we don’t discriminate.
Rust In My Car, I Feel Good, The Ladder Song and Good Morning Citizen all deserve a dam good thrashing, just like we used to, on the pub stages back in the 80's. I think the drummer can still carry a beat….here’s hoping.
And just like that, four out of the five bands are announced, which leaves one more. So far it’s Citizen Band, The Jordan Luck Band, Hello Sailor and Hammond Gamble. I wonder who will be next…
On Friday December 11, Spark Arena will turn into a giant pub for one big night of pub rock when five of New Zealand’s best-known pub rock bands will flood the stage with beer spilling anthems.
With four acts now announced, there’s one to go and each time we announce
another act, ticket price goes up, so if you are smart you are going to get in
now.
As we know pub rock punters are extra smart.
Each fresh artist announcement will have limited tickets with tickets for
today’s announce on sale at noon today. Each announcement so far has had the
limited tickets sell out. So if I were you, I’d stop mucking around and get a
ticket now.
You get it?
